Google code
This may not be news to some, but Google Code was released rather quietly in what looks mid to late March. I just happened to stumble on it here, but I figure more people know about this and I’ve just been oblivious to the development (pun intended).
I suspect some interesting software will come out of this project. Here are a few summary details from the Google Code site:
What is code.google.com? Code.google.com is our site for external developers interested in Google-related development. It’s where we’ll publish free source code and lists of our API services.
Which projects are being released? We’ve chosen 4 projects to start out. Perftools, sparsehashtable, coredumper and goopy/functional.
All the projects are being released to SourceForge.
